Our self worth is determined by our looks and cultural norms of sexual attractiveness

Within American culture images of skinny, airbrushed women are plastered all over magazines, billboards, fashion shows, and commercials among other things. These images create a mold for what is a normal, attractive body type for women to have. Often these weights are close to impossible for the average women to obtain and lead to low self-esteem and self-worth for women and young girls.
